10 Minute Pan-Seared Butter Scallops

Our delicious pan-seared scallops are quick, elegant, and super fresh. Serve them as a fancy entree or topper for salads or pasta!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb scallops
  • 1 tsp kosher salt adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil olive or avocado
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter unsalted
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs parsley or dill

Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel and season them with salt on both sides.
  2. Preheat a pan over medium-high heat with oil until it's sizzling hot. Add the scallops into the pan. About 60 -90 seconds in, turn them over. As soon as the other side is golden, remove them from the heat.
  3. To the same pan, add lemon juice, butter, and garlic. As the butter melts, scrape the bottom of the pan to get as much flavor incorporated as possible.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over cooked scallops. Sprinkle with fresh herbs. Serve right away!
