15- Minute Air Fryer French Fries
These air fryer French fries deliver crispy exteriors and tender interiors using simple ingredients: potatoes, oil, and salt. Soaking the fries before cooking removes excess starch for better crunch. Tossing fries during the 15-minute air frying at 400°F ensures even cooking. They can be served as a side or snack, seasoned to taste and paired with a favorite sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 potato cut into french fries
- 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Soak French fries in cold water for at least 20 minutes. Drain off the water and pat dry with a paper towel. Toss fries with a bit of oil and salt.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Place the french fries inside the air fryer tray and cook for 15 minutes at 400°F. Every 5 minutes, open the air fryer and toss fries.
- Season french fries with a little more salt and serve with your favorite sauce.
