15-Minute Avocado Hummus

This homemade avocado hummus is the definition of smooth and creamy. Whipped up in a food processor or blender, it only takes 15 quick minutes to make!

Ingredients

  • 3 medium avocados
  • 15 oz canned chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Jalapeño
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 lime for the juice
  • 2 tbsp parsley optional
  • 1 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather all the ingredients for the avocado hummus.
  2. In a food processor, blend the avocado, chickpeas, herbs, garlic, oil, lime juice, and jalapeños. If you like it on the spicier side, add a couple of shakes of red pepper flakes.
  3. Once the ingredients are blended, season the hummus to taste with salt.
  4. Keep the avocado hummus sealed in an airtight container in the fridge until you're ready to serve it.
