3-Ingredient Avocado Sauce
Making this avocado sauce is a breeze! All you need is 3 simple ingredients and 5 minutes to make. Pair it with your favorite sandwich, wrap, salad, tacos, or dippers for a bright, creamy addition!
Ingredients
- 2 avocado peeled and pitted, ripe
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice plus zest, or lime juice
- 1-2 teaspoons olive oil or avocado oil
- salt to taste, sprinkle
Instructions
- Add the avocados and lemon/lime juice and zest to the bowl of a food processor or blender. Pluse and slowly drizzle in one teaspoon of oil, up to two, until smooth. This will only take a couple of minutes. Scrape the sides as needed to make sure it's all combined.
- Taste test and add salt as needed.
- Use immediately as a sauce or dip. Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container. For best results, squeeze lemon or lime on top of the sauce and press plastic wrap flush with the surface to prevent oxidation.
Notes
- A large food processor will work for this recipe, as long as you make sure to scrape any pieces that might be getting missed. If you have a mini food processor, use it!
