4th Of July Fruit Kabobs
Make this easy patriotic fresh fruit salad with everyday ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 cup raspberry
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup strawberries
- ½ watermelon
- 3 apple firm ones
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Slice the watermelon and apples into half inch thick slices.
- Cut out the star shapes using different size cutters and add to a large bowl.
- Make fruit glaze by mixing lemon juice and maple syrup until combined.
- Thread fruit unto wooden skewers in a red white and blue pattern or any patter you prefer and brush them with the fruit glaze.
- Serve immediately or chill for a few hours before serving.
Notes
- You can sub in marshmallows or white chocolate or angel food cake for the white fruit.
- Vary the fruit you add in. See suggestions below.
- You can serve this as a fruit tray instead of skewers - just lay out on a tray.
- Serve these in an American flag shape, which will involve mostly threading red and white fruit together, but a few skewers will be half blueberries only.
