5 Min All-Purpose Dipping Sauce
This 5 Min All-Purpose Dipping Sauce blends yogurt and mayonnaise with fresh mint paste, lemon juice, oregano, and optional sugar and salt for a tangy, herby condiment. The sauce is quick to prepare and adds bright, cooling flavors, suitable for dipping or as a spread.
Ingredients
- 200 g yogurt
- 100 g mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon sugar optional
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 5 - 6 mint leaves
Instructions
Mint paste
- Grind 5-6 mint leaves in a mortar pestle. Use a little amount of water to make the paste.
Combining the Ingredients
- Combine yogurt, mayonnaise, sugar, salt, lemon juice, mint paste and oregano.
- Mix well and garnish with oregano.
Notes
- Keep the dipping sauce refrigerated and use it within seven days for best quality.
- If the sauce is too cold to serve, let it sit at room temperature briefly before using.
- Add sugar and salt gradually due to existing salt in mayonnaise to avoid over-seasoning.
- Limit fresh mint leaves to six or seven to maintain a balanced flavor and avoid bitterness.
