This 5-minute Air Fryer Pita Bread Pizza uses pita as a quick crust alternative topped with tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, and optional toppings like olives or artichoke hearts. Ingredients

  • 2 pita bread
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 6 tbsp mozzarella cheese grated
  • olives if desired, optional
  • artichoke hearts if desired, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 F / 180 C.
  2. Assemble the pizza by spreading tomato sauce on top of pita and sprinkling with mozzarella. Add extra toppings, if using.
  3. Cut a circle out the baking parchment and add to the Air Fryer basket.
  4. Place the pita bread pizza on top of the parchment.
  5. Cook for 5-8 mins, checking for doneness once during cook time.

Notes

  • Start with 5 minutes and adjust cooking time to get cheese melted and edges crisp to your liking.
  • Use whole wheat or regular pita, or substitute with naan, French bread, bagels, or English muffins.
