5 Mins Air Fryer Pita Bread Pizza
This 5-minute Air Fryer Pita Bread Pizza uses pita as a quick crust alternative topped with tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, and optional toppings like olives or artichoke hearts. Cooking in an air fryer crisps the pita and melts the cheese for a convenient snack or light meal with customizable toppings.
Ingredients
- 2 pita bread
- 3 tbsp tomato sauce
- 6 tbsp mozzarella cheese grated
- olives if desired, optional
- artichoke hearts if desired, optional
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 F / 180 C.
- Assemble the pizza by spreading tomato sauce on top of pita and sprinkling with mozzarella. Add extra toppings, if using.
- Cut a circle out the baking parchment and add to the Air Fryer basket.
- Place the pita bread pizza on top of the parchment.
- Cook for 5-8 mins, checking for doneness once during cook time.
Notes
- Start with 5 minutes and adjust cooking time to get cheese melted and edges crisp to your liking.
- Use whole wheat or regular pita, or substitute with naan, French bread, bagels, or English muffins.
- If your air fryer is small, cook pizzas one at a time; avoid overlapping in basket.
- Pair with simple sides like air fryer apple chips or a light salad for a complete meal.
- The pizza contains 9 Weight Watchers Freestyle Points per pita pizza.
