7 Layer Bean Dip

This 10-minute 7 layer bean dip is a must-have at every function! It has loads of flavor and all your favorite dip ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (1-ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 2-3 (9-ounce) cans Frito Lay bean dip
  • ½-1 cup guacamole
  • 1 cup shredded cheese, cheddar or Mexican blend
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions, or cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise and taco seasoning until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Spread ingredients one at a time into a 9x13-inch baking dish as follows:1st layer - bean dip2nd layer - guacamole3rd layer - mayonnaise/sour cream mixture4th layer - cheese5th layer - olives6th layer - tomatoes7th layer - green onions
  3. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Recipe Tips.
  • Make ahead of time. The first five layers can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored, covered with plastic wrap, in the refrigerator.  Wait to add chopped tomatoes and green onions until right before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 48 hours in the fridge. 
  • We use a clear bowl or serving dish to showcase the layers, but any serving dish can be used.
  • You'll need a dish that can comfortably hold 10 cups, such as a 10-12 inch serving bowl that's 3-4 inches deep or a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • It can be tempting to make each layer thick, but adding too much can make the dip difficult to scoop and serve a sample of each layer.
  • While tortilla chips are a classic side, you can also serve carrot sticks, pita bread, baguettes, and crackers.
