Ingredients

  • ½ cup old-fashion rolled oats gluten-free if needed
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ large over-ripe banana more brown spots = sweeter
  • 3 tablespoon almond milk or oat milk I love vanilla unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional Sweetness: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Flavor Ideas: 1 tablespoon peanut butter or 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • Mix-in Ideas: 2 tablespoon chocolate chips,2 tablespoon blueberries, extra banana slices on top, 2 tbs rainbow sprinkles, 2 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 290°F and grease a single-serve ramekin or baking dish.
  2. Add all the base ingredients to a high-speed blender (do not add mix-ins yet). Decide if you want to add nut butter (this is optional, but I love peanut butter). Blend on high for 20 – 30 seconds until fully combined.
  3. Stir in your desired mix-in. I love chocolate chips, blueberries, or sprinkles.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased ramekin (I used an 8-ounce one). Top with the extra chocolate chips or your desired mix-in.
  5. Air fry at 290°F for 12 - 15 min total. Check at the 7-minute mark since all air fryers are different. If it is browning too quickly on top, feel free to add a piece of aluminum foil on top.
  6. The oats should be cooked through and slightly browned on top - enjoy!

Notes

  • Rolled Oats: you can use quick oats, but do not use steel-cut oats.
  • Oat or Almond Milk: You can use skim, soy, rice, 2%, whole, or cashew milk.
  • Storing: For best results, store meal-prepped air fryer baked oats in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 5 – 8 minutes, in the oven at 350°F for 5 – 8 minutes, or in the microwave for 1 – 2 minutes.
  • The nutritional information below is for the base recipe without chocolate chips or blueberries.
