Air Fryer Caramel Apple Donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 apple diced small
  • 1/8 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 2 tablespoons Caramel sauce
  • 1 roll of pizza dough
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Add diced apple into a nonstick saucepan and cook for over low heat, stirring constantly for about 5 mins or until soft.
  2. Mix in the apple pie spice and caramel sauce and switch off the heat.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough and cut into 6-inch by 2-inch strips.
  4. Spoon a line of the caramel apple mixture down the middle of each donut strip.
  5. Bring the sides of each donut strip together and pinch to seal then Curl the ends of each piece together to make a circle and seal.
  6. Preheat your air fryer to 350F / 180C and spray the cooking basket with olive oil spray.
  7. Cook the donuts for 6 to 9 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  8. Melt butter and in a bowl combine sugar and cinnamon
  9. Dip donuts first into the butter and then coat with cinnamon sugar before serving.

  • Do not stack your donuts in the air fryer. Allow enough room for the air to circulate around your donuts so they cook evenly.
  • For best cooking results, make sure your Air Fryer doughnuts are the same size. But you can have fun and vary the size of your donuts from batch to batch.
  • Air fryer temperatures can vary depending on the make and model. I recommend starting out with less cook time, checking for doneness, and then adding more time as needed.
