Ingredients
- 4 chicken cutlets
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- Olive oil spray
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- ½ cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- While the Air Fryer preheats mix together the Italian Breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese in a shallow dish. Whisk together two eggs and 1 tablespoon water in another shallow dish.
- Coat both sides of the chicken cutlet in the egg wash then coat in the bread crumbs. Repeat until all four chicken cutlets have been coated.
- Spray the basket of the Air Fryer with non-stick cooking spray. Then, place the chicken cutlets in the basket making sure to not over-crowd. Spray the tops of the breading with non-stick olive oil spray.
- Cook for 8 minutes, then flip the chicken top with marinara and mozzarella sauce and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until internal temperature is 165 degrees Fahrenheit with an instant read meat thermometer. Remove once cooked through and enjoy.

Notes
- Chicken - I like to use chicken cutlets for this recipe as they cook faster and tend to yield the perfect crunchy outside. You can use regular full size chicken breast, just know that the cooking time will vary if the chicken breast is thicker.
- Air Fryer Size - Depending on the size of your air fryer will depend if you need to cook the chicken in two batches. You do not want to crowd or overlap the chicken cutlets.
- Other Variations - You can omit the marinara and mozzarella cheese and just make Parmesan crusted chicken in the air fryer. This would be very similar to my chicken milanese recipe. Which in fact, it's typically how I make the chicken milanese these days.
