Air Fryer Chicken Thighs

These 3 ingredient air fryer chicken thighs are so easy to cook in the air fryer! They turn out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside every time.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs 5-6 oz each
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Seasoning Blend (or use pre-made chicken seasoning)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika or sweet paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F.
  2. Combine the seasoning mix in a small bowl.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel. Place them in a medium bowl and toss with olive oil. Sprinkle both sides generously with seasoning.
  4. Place chicken thighs in the basket, skin-side down, and cook for 12 minutes. Flip them over and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes or until chicken reaches 165°F.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a place and rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Cook time can vary slightly based on the size of chicken thighs (and brand of Air Fryer). Ensure internal chicken temp reaches 165°F.
  • For frozen chicken thighs: Cook at 360°F for 25-28 minutes.
  • For boneless skinless chicken thighs: Use 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs, and cook at 400°F for 12 to 14 minutes, flipping the chicken after 6 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer for best results.
  • Starting the thighs skin-side down and flipping them makes for crisp skin without burning the seasonings.
