Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings thawed
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil optional

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C). However, whether or not you need to preheat really depends on your particular air fryer. So you will need to check the manufacturer's guide for your model.
  2. Place the wings into a large bowl, then drizzle them with the olive oil, and season to taste with a bit of salt and pepper. Next, toss everything together until the wings are totally coated in the oil and seasonings.
  3. Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket, put the basket back into the air fryer and cook them for 30 minutes, flipping them over halfway through cooking. It’s important to flip them to ensure that the chicken cooks evenly. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture before seasoning them. This will help to create crispier wings.
  • You must flip the wings over halfway through cooking. Not doing so can lead to some wings that are overcooked and others that are undercooked.
  • To ensure that wings are fully cooked, use an instant-read digital meat thermometer to ensure that they have reached an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
