Ingredients

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the sugar, butter, egg and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Then mix just until combined.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Preheat your air fryer by setting it to 350 and allowing it to warm for about 3 minutes while you form your cookie dough balls.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop, form Tablespoon sized dough balls.
  6. When the air fryer is preheated, line the basket with a layer of parchment paper and place dough balls evenly apart.
  7. Press down lightly on the dough balls to flatten slightly.
  8. Cook at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until the tops start to turn golden brown.

Notes

  • If you like nuts in your chocolate chip cookies add 1/2 cup of walnuts or pecans to the cookies.
  • I have made these with vegan chocolate chips and soy butter with excellent results.
  • Make sure you flatten the cookie balls! Cookies will not spread in the air fryer like they will in the oven.
  • Don't make the cookies too big, or they will not cook through in the middle.
  • Do not preheat the air fryer with parchment paper in it. The paper will fly up and stick to the heating element.
