Air Fryer French Toast

French toast that comes out crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, thanks to the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 lices of day-old bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • cooking spray as needed
  • Powdered sugar and fresh fruit for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.
  4. Allow excess liquid to drip off the slices and transfer them to a greased air fryer basket. Ensure the slices do not overlap. Work in batches if needed.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes, flip, and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm topped with fresh fruit and powdered sugar.
