Air Fryer Gnocchi
Air Fryer Gnocchi produce a crisp outer layer while maintaining a tender, pillowy interior by tossing gnocchi with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and Parmesan before air frying. Shaking the basket multiple times during cooking helps evenly brown the gnocchi. This technique offers a quick alternative to pan-frying or baking, yielding a satisfying texture contrast with flavorful seasoning.
Ingredients
- 1 lb gnocchi
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoon Parmesan Cheese finely grated
Instructions
- Heat air fryer to 400 degrees F.
- In a large bowl toss well all the ingredients.
- Transfer gnocchi to the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 13-15 minutes, shaking 3-4 times during the cooking process. Gnocchi are done when golden and crispy.
- Garnish with parsley, extra parmesan cheese, and serve with marinara sauce on the side.
Notes
- Arrange gnocchi in a single layer in the air fryer basket to avoid steaming; cook in batches if needed for optimal crisping.
- Avocado oil can replace olive oil for a richer flavor.
- This method works well with Trader Joe’s cauliflower gnocchi and yields crisper results than package directions.
- Shaking the basket multiple times during cooking promotes even browning and texture.
- Customize seasonings to taste, making this recipe flexible for different flavor profiles.
