Ingredients
- 1.1 pound deboned chicken thighs (500g)
- 2 tbsp gochujang chili paste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Korean cooking syrup (or honey, sugar, brown sugar...)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cooking wine (optional)
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
Instructions
- Puncture the chicken thighs with a knife or a fork, allowing the marinade to penetrate deeper into the meat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all the other ingredients with the chicken, ensuring that the thighs are well coated. Then, let the mixture rest for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
- Place the marinated chicken thighs in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure they don't overlap. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches to ensure even cooking.
- Air fry the chicken thighs at 180°C (356°F) for 10 minutes, ensuring they are placed upside down.
- Flip the chicken thighs. Generously brush the marinated sauce onto the chicken.
- Then, continue air frying the chicken at 200°C (400°F) for an additional 5 minutes, or until the thighs are cooked through and the skin is crispy and golden.
