Air Fryer Ham Casserole

A great way to use leftover holiday ham.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pasta cooked
  • 1 ½ cups Alfredo sauce or more, warmed
  • 1 ½ cups ham already cooked, chopped
  • 1-2 rosemary sprigs, fresh
  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese chopped, or bocconcini cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat an air fryer to 350F / 180C.
  2. In an air fryer-safe dish, combine the pasta, sauce, ham, and a little bit of the cheese.
  3. Top the casserole with the remaining cheese and the rosemary sprigs.
  4. Place the dish into the air fryer basket and cook for between 7-11 minutes or until the pasta sauce is bubbling and the cheese has melted.
Oven Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 350F / 180C.
  2. Combine the ingredients in a casserole dish and add an extra 1 to 1 ½ cups of sauce.
  3. Bake for about 25 minutes until bubbly.
  4. If desired, broil for a few minutes at the end to brown the cheese.
  5. Cover with foil for most of the cooking time if you don’t want it too brown.

Notes

  • This recipe is great for using leftover ham, but you can also use leftover pasta and sauce.
  • Add more sauce to taste if you prefer. 
  • Warm the sauce first, and it will speed up the cooking process. 
  • Make sure your dish is air fryer safe and fits inside your air fryer basket. 
  • The ingredients are all cooked but make sure the casserole heats through before serving. 
  • You can also bake leftover ham casserole in the oven. 
  • Air fryers vary slightly between manufacturers, so use the time as a guide and adjust according to your model.
  • Storage - keep leftovers in an airtight container inside the fridge for 3 days.
