Ingredients
- 1 pound lamb chops
- sea salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Remove the lamb chops from their packaging and place them on a plate. Use paper towels to pat off any excess moisture. Sprinkle both sides of each lamb chop with sea salt and black pepper.
- If you have the time, place the plate of lamb chops in the refrigerator for 1 to 24 hours to dry brine prior to cooking.
- When you’re ready to cook, preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the seasoned lamb chops to the air fryer basket in a single layer (without any overlapping).
- Air fry for 3-4 minutes, flip, then air fry for another 4 to 6 minutes, depending on your desired doneness. The FDA considers lamb to be safe to eat when it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. If the lamb chops still haven't reached 145 after 9 minutes, flip them again and continue cooking until they have. The exact cooking time depends on the thickness and weight of the chop.
- Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat to get an accurate read.
- Serve cooked lamb chops with your choice of side dishes, and enjoy!
