Ingredients
- 1 lice toast bread
FOR THE PIZZA SAUCE
- ½ Tbsp tomato puree
- ½ Tbsp Garlic puree
- 1 Tbsp barbecue sauce
- ½ Tsp sweet paprika
- ½ Tsp dried oregano
FOR THE PIZZA TOPPINGS
- 2 lices cheese
- 4 cherry tomatoes
Instructions
- Mix the pizza sauce ingredients together in a small bowl or into a pizza sauce jar if making more for later.
- Spread the pizza sauce over a slice of toast bread.
- Then add your pizza toppings. We like to use two slices of cheese and overlap them for a good coating over the bread. Then we also sliced cherry tomatoes and spread them on top and also added a sprinkling of oregano. You can also swap cherry tomatoes for one medium tomato instead.
- Place your pizza toast into the air fryer basket. Or if using a dual you can cook one in each drawer. Air fry for 8 minutes at 180c/360f or until the toast is crispy and the toppings are golden.
- Remove from the air fryer (using a spatula is easiest) and then cut into quarters before serving.

Notes
- Please note This pizza toast recipe was tested in our Philips air fryer XL basket. (its this one) and our Ninja Dual (this one) Air fryers vary so adjust if necessary, depending on the quality of your air fryer. Or consult the temperature test on page 18 of The Complete Air Fryer Cookbook.
- Portions. Note we made enough pizza sauce to cover about 3 rounds of toast. You can increase the quantities to make a big batch and then store it into a jar for later.
- For One. We have also made this pizza toast air fryer recipe for one. That way its easy to scale depending on how many people you’re feeding.
- Tomatoes. We like to cut cherry tomatoes in half but you can also use one salad tomato and cut into slices if you prefer.
