Air Fryer Salmon Bites

Easy Air Fryer Salmon Bites are coated in seasoned panko breadcrumbs and air-fried to perfection! They're crispy on the outside and tender in the center, cooked in less than 10 minutes. Serve with our simple homemade sweet and spicy sauce for a delicious appetizer or main course!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound salmon filet skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl sprinkle the 1 1/2 pound salmon filet cubes with 1 teaspoon Kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon fine ground pepper, and 2 tablespoons olive oil, stir well to combine and coat each piece.
  2. On a shallow plate, combine the 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs with 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, and a dash or salt and pepper.
  3. Dip the salmon in the panko mixture then place it on a sheet pan.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375ºF.
  5. Place the breaded salmon into the air fryer, arranging the pieces in a single layer without overlapping. Air fry for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway.
  6. Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine the 1/4 cup honey, 2 tablespoons hot sauce, and 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce.
  7. Once the salmon is done cooking, drizzle with the sauce and shake.

Notes

  • Refrigerate any leftover salmon bites in an airtight container for up to about 3 days. Reheat the leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for about 3 minutes, shaking halfway.
  • Use avocado oil in place of olive oil if you like
  • They can be baked instead at 400F for 18-20 minutes.
