Air Fryer Turkey Burgers
These Air Fryer Turkey Burgers combine ground turkey with olive oil, egg yolk, seasoned bread crumbs, soy sauce, and spices to create patties that stay moist and flavorful. Cooking in the air fryer cooks the patties evenly at 350°F, yielding burgers with a tender texture and enough juiciness to serve on buns with typical toppings like lettuce and tomato. Chilling the patties before cooking helps them maintain shape and enhances flavor melding.

- 1 pound ground turkey not extra lean
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon onion powder

Notes
- Ensure ground turkey reaches 165°F internally for safe consumption.
- Chill patties before cooking to help them hold their shape and blend flavors.
- If using extra lean turkey, add some fat such as olive oil or finely chopped bacon for moisture.
- Use an instant-read thermometer to avoid overcooking and drying out the burgers.
- Barbecue sauce is optional but adds a smoky flavor when brushed on before air frying.
