Air Fryer Turkey Legs

Ingredients

  • 64 ounces (329g) turkey legs 4 turkey legs that are approx. 16 ounces (including bone) each
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
  2. Make a dry rub by combining garlic salt, garlic powder, paprika, rosemary and parsley in a small bowl.
  3. Using clean hands, rub the spice mixture all over the turkey legs.
  4. Spritz the turkey legs with olive oil spray or cooking oil, then place them into the air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry turkey legs for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
  6. Cook until the internal temperature of the turkey drumsticks reaches 165 degrees F / 94 degrees C and the skin is golden and crispy.

  • Turkey legs are usually available in the poultry section of your local grocery store and come in packages of 2 or 3. They may be easier to find around Thanksgiving or Christmas. Ask your butcher if you don’t see any.  Pat the legs dry with a paper towel before adding the seasoning rub.  Alternate the direction that the turkey legs face to fit more in the air fryer basket. Make sure to allow space between the turkey legs when cooking. For best results, preheat the air fryer. Lightly spritz the air fryer basket with cooking spray or olive oil.  Be sure to check for doneness using a meat thermometer. The temperature should be 165 degrees F / 74 degrees C when inserted into the thickest part of the turkey leg. Love extra crispy skin?
