Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh turkey wings about 4 whole wings
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon cajun spices
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Pat the wings dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Optional - Use a sharp knife or kitchen shears to separate the wings at the elbow joint into the flat and drumette. Discard the wing tip.
- Put them in a medium-sized bowl or zippered bag. Drizzle the oil over the top, then add the Cajun spices and garlic powder. Stir until they are well coated with spices.
- Put them in the air fryer basket, keeping the wings in a single layer.
- Air fry at 360 degrees F for 13 minutes. Then flip them over and air fry for another 13 minutes.
- Use a digital meat thermometer to verify the wings have reached 165 degrees F. Make sure you test the thickest part of the wings.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- Use your favorite spice mixture. Some suggested flavor combinations are chicken seasoning rub, Old Bay, BBQ rub, or just salt and black pepper.
- These are very greasy, so the air fryer will get messy. If your air fryer tends to smoke, put a piece of bread underneath the basket to catch the grease. Or add a little water to the bottom to prevent smoking.
- Keep the wings in a single layer without stacking.
- They will cook faster if you separate the drummettes from the flat.
