Ingredients

Meatballs
  • 500 gms – 1.1 lbs. pork mince or beef or a mix of both
  • 1 egg
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 or 5 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • vegetable oil
Almond Sauce
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 100 gms – ½ cup blanched almonds
  • 1 or 2 garlic cloves sliced
  • 2 slices/pieces of bread
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 50 ml – ¼ cup white wine
  • 300 ml – 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt and pepper to taste
