Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup almonds slivered
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water boiling
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F.
  2. Spread almonds out on a baking sheet, then bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Combine butter and sugar in a saucepan and cook over low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in water and corn syrup.
  4. Boil over medium heat, without stirring, to 300°F - hard crack stage.
  5. Pour over almonds in baking pan.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot candy. Spread with a knife to form a thin layer. When cool, break into pieces and serve.
