Apple and Plum Crumble

Apple and Plum Crumble, a delicious Fall dessert made with fresh seasonal fruit. This indulgent sweet treat has a hint of cinnamon and lemon, and goes very well with a scoop of ice cream or some custard. Super easy to make, and so indulgent.

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh plums
  • 2 cooking apples
  • 2 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 150 g plain flour
  • 150 g butter, melted
  • 50 g oats
  • 100 g granulated sugar

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. In a bow, mix the chopped plums, apples, cinnamon, and the dark brown sugar.
  2. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, add the flour, granulated sugar, oats and mix well.
  4. Add the melted butter to the mix, and use a spatula to combine them into a sticky mixture.
  5. Transfer the fruit to an ovenproof dish, then top with the flour mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius (375 Fahreneheit) for 30 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbling hot.

Notes

  • You can make the crumble with apples or plums only, just double up the amount of fruit and you can follow the exact same steps, no need to do anything differently. Although I find this combo a very yummy one.
