Apple Brownie Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter , melted
  • 2 Fuji apples , peeled, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans , optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray an 8x8 baking pan with baking spray.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together eggs, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, butter and apples.
  3. In a second bowl sift together flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ones until just combined.
  5. Pour into baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
