Apple Cobbler Crisp

Ingredients

Cobbler
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling, or any pie filling
Crisp
  • ¾ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. In a 9x13-inch dish, pour the melted butter evenly over the bottom. Spread the flour mixture over the top of the melted butter.
  3. Layer the apple pie filling evenly over the dry ingredients.
  4. For the crisp topping, whisk together the oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  5. Using a pastry blender or fork combine cold butter with crisp ingredients until it's come together in a crumb texture.
  6. Sprinkle the crisp topping over the top of the apples, and bake for 28-30 minutes until the edges are lightly brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the dish cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
