Apple Dump Cake
Classic apple dump cake using canned apple pie filling and a delicious spice cake mix! A great cheater dessert that tastes like Autumn!
Ingredients
- 2 cans apple pie filling
- 1 tsp apple pie spice
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 box spice cake mix
- 1/4 cup walnuts chopped
- 3/4 cup butter cold, salted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the spice cake mix with the other spices (cinnamon and apple pie spice), mixing well.
- In a 9x13 pan, add the pie filling until it covers the whole bottom of the pan. Now, carefully sprinkle the spice cake / spices mixture over the top, until it is covered completely.
- Grate the butter over the top of the cake mix in an even layer.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and crunchy and the filling is bubbling around the edges. Remove, cool slightly and then serve warm, with vanilla ice cream.
