Notes

  • TIPS TO PREVENT BROWNING OF APPLES
  • I melt the peanut butter for about 20 seconds in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl and then stir until liquid-y.
  • You can add any other ingredients you want to the nachos!
  • Lemon Juice: Toss the sliced apples with a little fresh lemon juice in a bowl or bag. This will add a very subtle hint of lemon to the apples.
  • Ginger ale: Soak the slices in ginger ale. This will add a bit of extra sugar to the applese.
  • Salt Water: Soak sliced apples in a salt water mixture. We recommend 1/2 tsp of salt per quart of water and soaking them for 3-5 minutes.
  • Rubber Band: Wrap a rubber band around a sliced apple that you have put back together so air doesn’t get to the inside of the apple.
