Apple Smoothie Recipe
This Apple Smoothie blends peeled and quartered apples with coconut milk and an optional pinch of ground cinnamon for a smooth, fresh fruit drink. The coconut milk adds a mild creaminess and subtle tropical flavor to the naturally sweet apple base. It offers refreshing hydration with a delicate balance of fruit sweetness and spice when cinnamon is used.
Ingredients
- 2 apple large, preferably organic
- ½ cup coconut milk - thin or medium consistency or lite coconut milk
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon - optional
Instructions
- Rinse the apples and then peel them. Quarter them and remove the seeds.
- Take the chopped apples in a blender jar.
- Add the ground cinnamon powder and coconut milk.
- Blend till smooth and fine. If you prefer a slightly thinner consistency, add some more coconut milk or a bit of water.
- Pour straight away in glasses and serve Apple Smoothie immediately. Do not keep for a long time as then the smoothie turns dark due to oxidation.
Notes
- Use sweet-tasting apples for a naturally flavorful smoothie without added sugar.
- Plant-based milks like cashew, oat, almond, or GMO-free soy milk can replace coconut milk.
- Flavorings such as vanilla extract, nutmeg, or green cardamom powder may be added or omitted according to preference.
- For added nutrition, stir in protein powder while blending.
- Sweeteners are optional, based on taste or apple sweetness.
- Serve immediately as the smoothie darkens upon standing due to oxidation.
