Ingredients
- 3/4 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ½ 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 1 1 large egg plus 1 egg yolk
- 2 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1½ 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 1/2 cup Chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1/2 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
MAPLE CREAM SAUCE:
- 1/4 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Vanilla Ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉ and grease an 8x8 baking dish.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla; beat until light in color.
- Whisk in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in the white chocolate chips and nuts.
- Spread into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until the center is set. For a gooey center cook around 25 minutes. The bars will set up as they cool. Cook longer for firmer bars.
- While blondies are cooking, make the Maple Cream Sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the butter, powdered sugar, cream cheese, and syrup by hand or with a mixer. If you want it thinner you can heat it for a few seconds in the microwave.
- Serve blondies warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with the maple cream sauce.
Cup of Yum
Notes
- This can be made in a 9x9 baking dish but will be thinner. You can also double the recipe and bake in a 9x13 baking dish.
