Applesauce Bread
Applesauce Bread is moist, flavorful and made with simple ingredients. The perfect bread to serve for breakfast, brunch or dessert.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter melted and cooled
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 egg large
- 1 cup applesauce unsweetened
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a 9X5 loaf pan with parchment paper and lightly spray the parchment paper with a non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, applesauce and greek yogurt. Mix until well combined.
- Gently stir in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
- Remove the pan from the oven. Cool the bread in the pan on a rack. Then carefully remove the bread from the pan and then it’s ready to slice, serve and enjoy!
Notes
- Store any leftovers at room temperature for up to 5 days.
