Avocado Tzatziki

Adding avocado into a classic tzatziki recipe gives it extra creaminess, extra color, and extra flavor! This is a versatile Greek dip that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup yogurt plain, Greek
  • 1 avocado large
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon dill chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper seeds removed and minced (optional
  • 1/2 cucumber peeled and diced, seedless

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the Greek yogurt, avocado, garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, pepper, and jalapeño (if using). Process until smooth, scraping down the sides and processing again, if necessary.
  2. Scrape into a medium bowl and stir in the diced cucumber. Taste and adjust seasonings, if necessary. You might want a little more lemon, dill, or salt. Serve with cut up vegetables, pita chips, pita bread, or use as a salad dressing.
