Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Bacon
  • 1 bunch asparagus , thicker stalks are better
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the bacon strips until half-cooked in a large skillet, do not brown.
  3. Dry asparagus well with paper towel.
  4. Season the asparagus with the salt, pepper, paprika and cayenne pepper.
  5. Wrap the asparagus with a piece of bacon and place it onto the baking sheet with the ends of the bacon under the asparagus on the sheet.
  6. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until the asparagus are cooked through and bacon is crisp.
