Bacon Wrapped Dates

Ingredients

  • 20 dates
  • 6 oz goat cheese softened
  • 10 lices Bacon
  • parsley optional, fresh chopped
Supplies:
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Cut each bacon in half and cut each of the dates in half lengthwise.  Remove the pits in the dates and use a small spoon to put goat cheese in the cavity of each of the dates.  Then press the date pieces back together.
  3. Wrap each of the dates with a piece of the bacon and secure it to the date with a toothpick.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and place the bacon wrapped dates on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes until browned.  Then flip each of the dates and bake for 8-10 more minutes until the opposite sides are browned.
  6. Remove the dates from the oven and let the dates sit for 5 minutes.
  7. Top the dates with the fresh chopped parsley and then they are ready to serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
