Bacon Wrapped Dates

This recipe for bacon-wrapped dates with cheese and maple bacon will not only turn dates into a delicious appetizer, but will be a new favorite.

Ingredients

  • 20 dates (pits removed)
  • ½ cup goat cheese
  • 10 lices Bacon cut in half, thin, maple
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon parsley for garnish, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°. Coat a sheet pan with parchment paper or cooking spray
  2. Use a small spoon or a piping bag to stuff each date with about 1 teaspoon of goat cheese. Press each date closed.
  3. Wrap each date in a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  4. Take the small dish of maple syrup and brush it all over the wrapped dates.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes, until the bacon is browned and crispy.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley then serve immediately.
