Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon
Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon features tender beef tenderloin filet mignon wrapped in crispy bacon, seasoned simply with salt and pepper. The preparation involves pan-searing the bacon-wrapped filets in butter and olive oil to develop a browned crust, then finishing them in a hot oven to achieve the desired doneness. The bacon adds smoky flavor and a slight fat contrast to the lean filet meat. The result is a rich and elegant steak with a crisp bacon exterior and juicy interior.
Ingredients
- 4 beef filet mignon approximately 4-6 oz each, trim off any excess fat
- 8 lices Bacon 1-2 pieces per filet
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 Tbsp butter
Instructions
- First preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
- Wrap a piece of bacon around each of the filets and secure the bacon onto the meat with a toothpick.
- Then season both sides of the filets with the salt and pepper.
