Ingredients

  • 1 pound jalapeno pepper
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese or Mexican blend cheese, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 2 pounds Bacon

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Slice the jalapenos in half and use a spoon to hull out the middle pith and seeds. The seeds are where the bulk of the heat in the pepper is. If you like them hot, leave some of the seeds inside.
  2. Into the bowl of a food processor, add cream cheese, shredded cheese, Worcestershire sauce, chipotle powder. Pulse until the mixture is well blended.
  3. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese blend.
  4. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with 1 slice of bacon so that the pepper is completely covered.
  5. Refrigerate the poppers for about 20 minutes to firm up the cheese stuffing and allow the flavors to meld together.
Oven Method
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet with a wire rack, or you can use a broiling pan.
  3. Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the bacon is browned and crisp. Serve immediately.
Air Fryer Method
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 325°F
  2. Air fry the poppers for about 8 minutes, flipping them midway through the cooking time.
Grill Method
  1. Preheat the grill to a moderate temperature.
  2. Place the poppers on the cooler part of the grill.
  3. Turn the poppers often and cook uncovered for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.

Notes

  • It is highly recommended to wear latex gloves while handling chili peppers.
