Ingredients

  • 100 g almonds blanched and peeled
  • 500 ml milk
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp saffron strands
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. In a blender, grind the blanched and peeled almonds into a fine powder.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
  3. Add the ground almond powder to the milk and stir well.
  4. Let the mixture simmer for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the sugar, saffron strands, and cardamom powder to the milk mixture.
  6. Continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  7. Remove from heat and allow the Badam Milk to cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve warm or chilled, garnished with a few strands of saffron, if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure the almonds are properly blanched and peeled for a smoother texture.
  • Adjust the sugar according to your taste preference.
  • You can also add a pinch of ground nutmeg for extra flavor if desired.
