Bagel Spread with Goat Cheese and Honey

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 ounces goat cheese
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • honey (optional)
  • chopped pistachios (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add softened cream cheese, goat cheese, heavy whipping cream, paprika, and red pepper flakes to a bowl.
  2. Bust out your hand mixer and whip until all ingredients are combined. The resulting texture will be closer to that of goat cheese, light and slightly crumbly.
  3. Smear desired amount onto a bagel (toasted or untoasted, your choice).
  4. Drizzle the smeared bagel with a little bit of honey. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios for crunch.
  5. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.

Notes

  • I used a Thomas' 100% Whole Wheat Bagel, but use whatever brand or type of bagel you prefer. This would also make a great bread spread.
