Baked Apple Cider Donuts

These baked apple cider donuts are the sweetest way to welcome fall! Deliciously tender, filled with apple cider flavor, and rolled in cinnamon sugar. You'll love this easy baked donut recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1-3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. and grease a standard donut pan with non-stick spray, set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder, and apple pie spice and whisk to combine.
  3. To the bowl add egg, milk apple cider, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk to combine. Just whisk until no large lumps of flour remain.
  4. Fill each section of the donut pan 3/4 of the way full, about 1/4 cup batter per section.
  5. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until the donuts are golden brown around the edges and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Transfer the donuts to a wire rack and cool.
  7. To serve roll in cinnamon sugar or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  8. Best eaten the day of but can be stored for up to 3 days in an air tight container.
