Ingredients

  • 4 apple such as Honeycrisp or Gala, large
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter melted, unsalted
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Slice off the top of the apples to make a lid, then core them.
  2. Mix oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl. Add melted butter and stir to combine.
  3. Fill each apple with the oat mixture and replace the apple top. Place the apples in a baking dish and pour water into the base of the dish.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until the apples are tender. Serve warm.
