Baked Churro Donuts

Baked Churro Donuts offer a tender crumb enriched with butter and oils, baked until lightly golden. After baking, they are coated with a cinnamon-sugar mix for a sweet, warmly spiced finish reminiscent of churros. The gentle baking method creates a soft texture that makes them easy to enjoy fresh or as a treat with beverages.

Notes

  • Adjust the topping quantity to increase cinnamon sugar coverage as desired, doubling or tripling if you want donuts like the pictured ones.
  • For an extra flavor layer, drizzle the donuts with cajeta or dulce de leche after coating; this is optional.
  • Donuts should spring back lightly when touched to confirm they are baked through.
  • Use softened butter to incorporate easily into the batter for best texture.
