Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 ounces feta cheese
  • 10 ounces frozen spinach 1 package, thawed and drained
To serve
  • Pita chips
  • Baguette slices

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, garlic, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and onion powder. Mix until smooth.
  3. Crumble the feta cheese into the mixing bowl and stir until well combined.
  4. Add the thawed and drained spinach to the mixing bowl and stir until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  7. Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the dip cool for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the baked feta and spinach dip hot with pita chips or baguette slices for dipping.

Notes

  • Cheese Choices: While feta is the star, you can experiment by adding other cheeses such as ricotta for a different texture.
  • Spinach Prep: If using frozen spinach, ensure it's fully thawed and excess water is squeezed out. Fresh spinach can also be sautéed briefly until wilted.
  • Adjust Heat: Love a kick? Add some red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to elevate the spice level.
  • Dip Companions: This dip pairs wonderfully with toasted baguette slices, pita chips, tortilla chips, or a medley of fresh veggies.
  • Storage: If you have leftovers (a rarity!), store them in an airtight container in the fridge. It can be reheated in the oven or microwave, but might need a splash of olive oil to revive its creamy consistency.
