Ingredients

  • 12 ounces thick-cut bacon
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup brazil nuts chopped

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Lay a metal baking rack over the foil.
  2. Lay the bacon evenly on the rack, ensuring that slices do not overlap.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup with the cinnamon, paprika, black pepper, nutmeg, and chopped Brazil nuts.
  4. Brush the glaze over each slice of bacon.
  5. Bake for 18–22 minutes, flipping the bacon halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  6. Remove the bacon from the oven, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate, and let it cool completely to allow it to crisp up fully.
