Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops

Juicy, tender and full of flavor, these Glazed Pork Chops are made in a cast iron skillet. Topped with onions, and an amazing brown sugar glaze.

Ingredients

  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 boneless pork loin chops
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar

Instructions

Prep

  1. Season the pork chops on both sides, slice the onions thinly and mince the garlic.Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
Cook the Pork
  1. Cook the pork chops about 3-4 minutes each side until an internal temperature of 145 degrees F is reached.
  2. Remove pork chops, and keep warm by tenting with foil.
Cook the onions
  1. In the same skillet, add garlic and onions and cook for a minute or two until the onions soften.
  2. Add the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar. Reduce heat and let the sauce reduce slightly (about 5 minutes).
Finish up
  1. Add pork chops back into the skillet and turn in the sauce, covering completely.
Rest
  1. Rest pork chops for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
Serve
  1. Serve with the onions, spooning some extra sauce over the top.
  2. Devour.

Notes

  • Substitutions/Additions
  • Add a little garlic powder or onion powder to the seasoning to add another level of flavor.
  • Can I use bone in pork chops?
  • Absolutely! Use what you have. Watch your cooking times, and be sure that the pork is cooked fully. Thick bone in chops will take longer than boneless chops.
  • What temperature to cook pork?
  • Pork chops should be cooked to 145 degrees F when tested with a digital thermometer in the thickest part.
