Banana Bread Recipe
This banana bread combines mashed ripe bananas with eggs, sugar, flour, and warming spices like cinnamon, creating a moist quick bread with a subtly sweet flavor. Ingredients
- 2 egg
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 banana large
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2/3 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients for the banana bread.
- Whisk eggs together with sugar using a mixer or by hand. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
- Mash bananas. Add mashed bananas, vanilla and vegetable oil to the whisked egg mixture.
- Using a spatula, gently combine the flour mixture with the wet ingredients. Then, add raisins to the dough if desired.
- Grease the sides of a loaf pan. Add banana bread batter and top with walnuts or other toppings if desired. Bake at 350°F for about 50 minutes. Use the toothpick test to check if bread is ready. Enjoy!
