Banana Pudding
Banana Pudding is a pretty popular classic dessert with layers of creamy vanilla pudding, sliced bananas, and cookies.
Ingredients
- 5-6 banana sliced
- 1 1/2 cups water cold
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1 white chocolate vanilla bean pudding Godiva instant, box
- 3 cups heavy whipping cream
- 2 packages chessman cookies about 48 cookies
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the water and sweetened condensed milk. Whisk until combined.
- Add in the packet of pudding and continue to whisk until incorporated.
- Place in the fridge for 4 hours.
- Whip the cream with a hand mixer on medium until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the chilled pudding mixture until no streaks remain.
- In a trifle bowl or casserole dish, layer pudding, cookies, and then bananas. Repeat pattern.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 12 hours or overnight.
Notes
- Vanilla pudding can be used in place of the Godiva pudding.
- Nilla wafers can be used in place of chessman cookies. Nilla wafers will soften faster than Chessman cookies lessening the time it needs to spend in the fridge.
- To keep the bananas from fully browning coat them in the pudding mixture. I also like to sprinkle the bananas with fruit fresh to keep them from browning.
- If making individual servings to put on display, create the layers directly into the serving dishes and then refrigerate.
